This documentary follows National Geographic photographer Filipe DeAndrade on a journey that began as a short visit to the Seychelles and evolved into a multi year commitment to ocean conservation. As Filipe builds relationships with scientists, local communities, and national leadership, the film captures a rare moment when storytelling, policy, and protection converge. At the center of the story is a pivotal national decision. The Seychelles can emerge as a global leader in ocean conservation or risk eroding the ecosystems that define it. Through intimate fieldwork and collaboration with influential ocean advocates including Ocean Ramsey and Juan Oliphant, the film explores how sharks become symbols of both ecological balance and political will. More than a portrait of place, this film asks what becomes possible when protection turns into policy.
